grahpic settings

hello i ve been playing at your server for a couple of weeks now and i was wondering if you can help me? after each map your server does what seem to be a vid_restart , and then i lose my r_mode settings and a few other
ones. is there anything i could do to prevent this from happening? maybe in the cfg? thanks in advance .
