Just done a 3D mark_06 on my computer and it came out with a score of 17779.
My computer has a Intel 2.97Ghz Extreme processor overclocked to 3.4Ghz, 8 gigs ram, ATI 4870 x 2 graphics card, with a solid state hard drive, running Vista 64 bit. (It is a Goose special but with thermal grease :p)
Be nice to see how this stacks up with those of you that have "super computers"!!

Alex "Google" 3D mark version 6, and you will need to download the patch edition 1.1.0.
Its quite a large download (500 meg plus) but after running the test you can adjust your graphics card settings, and then run the test again to check your results, and get the best performance from your system.
The test takes about 4 minutes to run.
A bit of playing around got it from a score of 17461 to 17779 for me.

Had both of those myself in the early 80's. Remember loading cassette tapes with games on like silent service (sub game) which used to take forever to load. Great fun once it was up and running though.

After I looked at your picture, you ran the 3D Mark03, the 3D Mark06 is a bit more taxing to the computer...You need liquid helium plus some to pull that kind of score...

I started out with a score of 11137... a new cpu cooler, E6750 overclocked from 2.66 to 3.3 , Evga 8800gtx overclocked , finally got to 12215. I have been battling heat issues so the new zalman cooler did the trick. Not the fastest but definitely works well !

He has the same processor as mine E6750 2.66G, 1333M FSB, 4M L2 cache, 65nm.
I'm thinking of upgrading to a Q9550, its a 2.83 Quad with a 12M L2 cache, or just building an i7 rig.

Brett, when I ran it and it completed the 4 minute test, there was a box saying "to view your online results click here" and it took you to the on-line site where your results were recorded, as well as what other players systems were getting.
Once there you can search by region and country etc, to see how your computer compares with others.
PS Make sure you downloaded Version 6, patch edition 1.1.0, which is the free version.

Looking forward to your results Jetdoc. No one has posted 3d marks on an i7 rig before on this thread, so looking forward to see how it stacks up against the Extreme processor I use.
