Hi everyone,
My name is David, I'm 37 and regularly play under the name "Whiskeyfox" on the CoD4 Hardcore non-sniper server. I have been a regular player for over a year now. Today (06/12/09) at around 2:45pm, I logged in to play a few rounds - when, not 3 minutes into the match, I was kicked/banned. I was surprised to say the least because I have been very diligent about not using profanity or getting involved in any of the drama that sometimes happens. I am very cognizant of the rules and respect them as I do not pay for the service. I am also very grateful to be allowed to play on this server, as i appreciate playing with fellows of like maturity and good gun calibre.
After some hours expired I was able to reconnect to the server - right after I had just sent a PM to the admin on these forums, and wasn't really expecting to get in, so I was surprised when I saw the ban had been lifted. Once I got into the game again, as per server rules, I asked about the nature of my kick and was told that I had been using a hack. I guess it wasn't appropriate to ask about it in-game, and that's when I was kicked again for language - even though I didn't use any profanity and was just asking what had happened, knowing there must be some mistake.
In my defense, I can only state the truth:
1: I have never cheated at any time on CoD4 - on any server
2: My skills often put me in the top 3 - I don't need to cheat
3: I recently reinstalled my operating system and copied over the cod4 savefile, maybe that has something to do with it?
4: I have no hacks and don't even know how to go about getting them
5: If there is a glitch in the program that detects hacks, as is in my case, because i don't have any, then shouldn't we try to figure out what's going on here and fix it - so that this doesn't happen to someone else?
I hope we can resolve this issue, as it is clearly some malfunction. We can walk through this on the phone, email, vent, whatever it takes to show that I am sincere in my case.
