A few hours ago our game server was hacked...they changed the password to access the server so it took awhile to get back in...now that I'm back in I see that they have deleted everything, files, logs , backups, I mean everything. CalPop is in the process of replacing the hard drive and hopefully will have our server backup in a few hours. Bad thing is it will take me quite sometime to re-install the programs needed and then upload all the necessary files, not to mention piece our mod back together. I will get it back up as quick as I can but i am thinking its going to take a couple of days. Don't know what else to say but sorry for the inconvenience.

I hope there is a way of tracking who did this and send them a lodgic bomb and blow up there computor!!! I finally get a couple of days I can play and this, there are no words for the frustration being felt by everyone affected.:icon_cry: I was on playing at the time it went down and there were only three players on at the time, me, acer and Sedpops.

hackers should have their arms and fingers cut off. starting with the fingers then inch by inch up the arm. as you cut things off dip them in salt then alcohol. if they pass out wait for them to wake up then start again.

Hmmm. Couple of days without ToB is going to be rough. After all it is the best stress relieve program ever. And what kind of money we are talking about to buy a security and protection against those ***holes. Personally I'd love to chip in. (still cheaper then a shrink, not that I've paid one)

Alright everything is backup and running as normal...whew that is a load of my mind...thank god for a friend that has a T3 connection that he let me use or I would have been here next week this time uploading files. Any problems let me know!

Not yet...they did a very good job of hiding there tracks...it looks like so far they accessed or server through another server that they had hacked and that was coming through a proxy. They even took the time to install some anonymous redirection software on our server while they used it.

Thanks guys and gals...I do try and keep things running smoothly for everyone. I know that you do not see much of me on the game server anymore but I am never far away and I do keep a close eye on things. I just have alot of things going on that take up alot of time and it seems to get worse everyday. I would also like to thanks all the members and regulars that keep things going on a daily basis, without you we would not exist! Remember if you need me I am just an email of PM away.
