Family Dog Attack

nobody should ever have to see their child die and in such a horrific fashion. I dont think the dog should be put down or anything because he was surronded by people which always freightens animals. you should never have a dog like a rotweiler around a child. my sympathies to the family of the boy.

Yet another child dies, WHAT will it take for the OWNERS/BREEDERS to realise that these types of dogs are natural killers.. Its their natural instinct. and yet every month people/children are attacked and/or killed by fighting breed type dogs and straight after we get the goody goodies telling us that its not the dogs fault, they should be properly trained! Well if its not the dogs fault then the owners should be put down :mad: as well!!!!!

actually there are quite a few nice pitbulls/rotweilers but i will agree many of them are very very aggresive. these types of dogs should never be near a child or even someone younge enough to not know how to defend themselves and know what is and what isnt dangerous.

I have and still do have both of these breeds of dogs , my children was raised around them , couldn't ask for a more loyal or protective type animal , however it is how you raise them , just like your own child will turn on you if you miss treat them . I have never had a problem with them , my children are grown now and they also have the same type breeds , it is all in how you raise them . I was mauled as young child my a neighbors dog which was a German Shepard

You might note that Pit Bulls were originally American Staffordshire Terriers which were (and still are) some of the finest family dogs in existence. They were seriously corrupted for dog fighting but the "good" portion of the breed is still available from reputable breeders. You might note that Pete, the dog in the old Spanky and Our Gang shows was played by several American Staffordshire Terriers. I'm far from a "bleeding heart liberal" but I firmly believe that there a few bad dogs but plenty of bad (stupid) owners.
