Cathedral bad?

Sony Playstation’s ‘Resistance: Fall of Man’ uses the interior of [Manchester Cathedral’s] nave without permission. Players of the PS3 game assume the role of an army sergeant who has been given a mission to win a battle. The game, which has sold more than one million copies, shows a virtual shoot-out in the cathedral’s nave. Hundreds of soldiers are killed during the battle inside the cathedral. The Church say Sony did not ask for permission to use the cathedral and has demanded an apology and the removal of the game from shop shelves - otherwise legal action will be considered.



The church (The Cathedral)in manchester is complaining to sony about the church being in Resistance fall of man.Due shooting in a church and them useing the real name without asking ,they are asking sony to take the game off the shelves .Waht do YOU think should be done?

I think they are blowing it out of purportion.

Honestly, The church is a symbol for the rise and prosperity of mankind. It's supposed to be sacred. I love shoot'em up games as much as anyone but I personally think the church should stand for what it believes and preserve the symbol.

Gotta admit when i first heard about it i thought "man what are the church moaning about now......."

Then i read in to it and watched the footage and can agree that this is disgusting. I mean i have no problem with a church in a game but as sony said it is "science fiction" then why could they not design their own church why did they have to copy one ????? thats what i don't agree with.

They overexadderated when they said 100's of men die in the game in it ,which is not true its you and ur 2-3 guys and you have to protect the church.

well the least they could do is the new versions of the games coming out they could remove it from the game.or i want my money back for mine cuz if it comes off the shelf there will be no online anymore.
