WAW Strange happenings

I re-installed WAW did all the patches, started single player, went on multiplayer played ONE map, on map change to Snowy park got unhandled error and multi player closed.
I tried to reconnect a dozen times, started the game chose multiplayer, game closed, back to microsoft games screen, clicked on the game icon, game started clicked multi player and wham game closed......:5bomb: on and on.
Any Ideas?????

I had the same problem. Something to do with a Sound Card. Couldn't fix it 100% and give up WAW because of that

if it is a sound issue, try setting windows to play in 16bit, 44100 Hz (CD Quality)
also try to set the program to "Run as Administrator"
update DirectX (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3&displaylang=en).
if this is anXP install, make sure .net 3.5 SP1 is installed, then updated thru microsoft update(not needed for Vista or Win7
also insert the DVD you installed the game with, and launch it from that once or twice(even for multiplayer), it should get you online(don't know why, but it works for me).

Thanks friends, but the problem seems to have sorted itself out, unless its because I started my pc with headphones connected and surround sound disconnected.
Still it worked THIS TIME :)
but oh! NO! the first download RENAN BRIDGE and absolutely awful map!!!! :5bomb:
