While I was away from the internet I tried to install COD1 + UO but when I tried to run the single player the error tone and the message that my video card drivers were out of date, is it because I have a newer card than when i played it years ago, I do'nt want to mess with it now cos its running everything else OK. Any Ideas??? :5geezer:

Have you downloaded the newest patches for both COD1 and CODUO?

I seem to remember there were several issues that were resolved in the patches (1.5 comes to mind, but don't quote me on that).

It shouldn't matter that you ran it several years ago (on the video card issue), unless you also changed brands (ATI vs. NVIDIA) on the video card.

Don't both of those have automated graphics settings? Can you get far enough into the game to run them?

If not, there's a way to run both of those in safe mode, but I can't remember the command line switch for it.

Anyone remember?
