becareful with nvidia motherboards the no post problem i had was that the boards DO NOT like generic memory of any kind i had to go with a name brand to make it work. and ty to mac and cheese for his patience on helping me with matter it is greatly apreciated. hopefully one day i can return the favor.

Yes, I have heard of that....some types of memory aren't compatible for some reason.

As far as I know, the cause still isn't known.

Some Asus boards are apparently like that also...
but even namebrand memory has come down in price

ya we got kingston pc 4200 2gig for 49.99. now i just need to get pci-e video and pc4200 memory so i can play cod4

What's your budget for video?

Right now, the NVIDIA 8800GT's are the best bang for the buck, with the AMD 3870's just behind it.

And, you can get both factory overclocked.

i already have the board and cpu just need to get memory and pci=e video card.
the board is an nvidia 6100sm-m with an amd 64bit 3500+.

dont know what my budget is yet wont know til after christmas

thats if i have a budget lol
