It Was Just The Sniper Server

Now It Is All Of Them , Think I Will Try And Reinstall It

But I Dont Want To Lose My Rank , Will If I Have To Thou

Any Help Would Be Appreciated

the problem i've got is that only the sniper server shows up on the serverlist, i can get on the other server with the shortcut but since we've got the 1.3 patch te R&G server is empty.

Don't know if it would help or not.......

I connect to all the ToB servers via shorcuts on the desktop.

I just change the destination addy to whatever server applies.....

I have 4 x CoD4 (1 private ToB and 3 public)

I also still have the Cod2 shortcut (sniper)

and recently added a shortcut to an aussie R+G ToD4 at the invitation of TOG|Spokelse. (much lower ping lol)

They all work fine..................(remember we just changed the addy to all the servers!)

Joy, David change the port address. you'll need to update your short cuts. Only the ending changed to 28940 (was 28960). See top info bar for full address's.

did the port change , and the patch 1.3 , and set to connect 60 instead of 10 , and nothing , at first it was the sniper ( mod ) server , but since the , new port or patch , not sure which , cant get on any of them ,
error says server disconnected , but i can watch on rays and will say i timed out , ray is on the same network as i , so i know it is a setting on mine , just dont know how or what it is , :icon_frown:

Joy, in that case go through each of yours and Rays' settings one at a time to find the problem. When I used to code, I had errors and couldn't see the wood for the trees.

i dont think it is the game settings , on cod 2 , he always loaded a map 10 times faster ,( on his old machine ) , its got to be my internet settings or something along those lines , i know its right in front of me , but i dont see it , going nuts here :5bomb:

yep , thats what is crazy , server list shows a ranked server , i just picked one , joined got right in , went back to ours and nope

I am new to forum, but whilst doing a search for an issue I have with my Call of duty 4 server I stumbled over this thread. I have been running cod servers for a couple of years now and also have 2 gamers all on the same network. The cod server is connectable from the internet and also locally (well usually, depends if I tinker too much, lol). I'll get to the point, the problem you may have is that punkbuster in standard form has the ability to check for i.p addresses and product code keys as well as other things. These can be disabled by the server admin if they desire. What this might mean is that you may have a single i.p address for your internet connection (most people do), this, to the best of my knowledge means that only one pc can access the specific port required (cod4-28960) at any given time. If your 2 pc's use dhcp to get an ip address from your router\modem and you only have a single i.p address to the outside world the chances are that you are using nat to connect to the outside world.Punkbuster doesn't like nat too much either, it's ok if you have 1 pc, but 2 will probaly cause problems. To sum up, if punkbuster is running on a server and configured as standard it will check product key code and it will check for multiple connection attempts from the same i.p address and fail any more than 1 connection from that i.p. The ways round this are to play on non-punkbuster servers, or to get extra i.p addresses from your broadband provider. I bought a block of eight, although I could have just bought 1,2 etc. Once you have the extra static ip's, you configure your modem\router so that each pc has it's own ip and then you can have port 28960 open twice or more(depending on how many ip's you have). I hope this is of some help to anyone who reads it. The other problem you may well have, is that from what people have told me, vista is really strict about sharing network resources and may well be hampering your network.

PunkBuster is turned off on that server, so that will answer this question.

ok , tryed that , and got into all severs accept sniper , when i download the two files , i cant get into no servers again , i can delete tob folder and get into tdm , dm , and members , the sniper server is the only one that is modded right , thats the thing that stops everything

after the reinstall , had to delete my profile folder it was corrupt , then everything worked , accept sniper

completly cleaned my pc , updated everything , defragged , clean temp internet files , did a virus scan , adware , cookies you name it , its squeky clean , updated pb , got the patch , changed connect time , ray was not on , his pc turned off , restarted

I Am Playing Tdm On Our Server As I Type , Same Pc , No Problems , Till I Try And Connect To Our Sniper Server , Then I Have To Go In And Delete Tob Folder , Just To Be Able To Play On Anything , I Hope This Makes Since To Someone , Cuz , I Sure Dont Understand It , Members Only Works , Dm Works

Alright then there is something your PC does not like about the files that you download. Just stay off there for now until we get the eXtreme mod running on it and we will see what is going on.
