just got back from emergency room

i just got back from hospital and found out i had an infection i got a red line going up my arm. so i might not be on until i heal up a bit better i feel sick but ill be ok so please dont worry its nothing really just an infection not sure how i got it either work? i dont now how i got it please keep me in yalls prayers i hope its not seriouse i dont even remember what the doctor said after he give me 3 shots in the butt and antibiotics

well i might have to go to a different town just to get a good doctor these doctors need to go back to school .these doctors would let u die before they was right im really seriouse heck my daughter broke her finger last week and they said it was jammed .which im not stupid i know what a broke finger looks like been a nurse for since 1996 seen plenty.and i will keep u guys posted i gotta get ready for work

Lisa, a red line going up your arm is usually a sign of septicaemia (blood poisoning). I would ask them to look at this as well.

Sounds like it could definitely be more serious than they're making it out to be. Don't take a chance. Get a second opinion... Make sure you're being treated appropriately. We wouldn't want you dying because then we couldn't kill you on the battlefield! :sheep:

yeah Lisa, I'd get another opinion. The travelling red line up the arm is indicative of an infection traveling through the blood stream. You need to get that stuff 86'd ASAP.

Neil is RIGHT that is usually the sign of Blood Poisoning, I know it happened to me.

Scrapped my foot on a reef and got some live coral embedded into the tissue. In 2 days I had a RED LINE running up to my thigh and was sick as a dog... Went to the doc the next day, and he said if I had waited any longer he probably would have had to cut my foot off.

I had gangrene in the sole of my foot and he cut out a piece of the foot about the size of a Silver Dollar.
