Hello everyone... I have found a very extensive guide for tweaking settings and troubleshooting problems on COD2. Just Click on this link: COD2 Tweak Guide (http://www.tweakguides.com/COD2_1.html) for 10 pages of information. I hope this resolves some problems!

Thanks Chad,

This explains a lot of my questions.
I will have to stop bothering Dave so much.

Cheers

Does that mean I don't get the Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi?

:( :( :( :(

LOL......good site, Chad!

That TweakGuides site is one of my favorites.......it's been so long that I've forgotten about it....I used to use it all the time (many years ago, of course). I used to use it extensively to tweak my systems to get max performance.

Back to the later days when we used to jumper our 90-mhz pentiums to hit 100-mhz, and then actually TIME the boot process in seconds to compare the differences!

Writing RAM-drive routines so we could cache databases in high-mem for better performance (nah, we didn't care about losing power.....speed was where it was at...speed, man....speed!)

And Brett.....it's never a bother....

Gives me a reason to ramble when I'm over-tired.

And, I've noticed that my spelling is atrocious when I'm tired and rambling...the mistakes in those posts make me blush!

This is an excelent tutorial on tweaking COD2 whoever I must caution all on the following setting:

com_maxfps [0 - 1000] - Determines the maximum frames per second (fps) possible.

I have been kicked by PunkBuster for using this setting at 0, PB likes something like 35-350.

Otherwise if you aren't using any of the CHEATS then it offeres some great FramRate increasing settings.

Thanks for asking,

Been on the road again, and REINSTALLING XP. As you know XP gets bogged up if you don't do a clean install every now and then. I was back on-line last night and will be on-line more when I get XP fully operational again...

See you on-line,
