Suggestion for Sniper Server

I was playing last night on the Sniper server and asked what people thought about shorter matches since there are so many new maps. It seems that 15 minutes sounded good to those who responded. It would be nice to play all maps in an hour or two.

What do u guys think, yes or no?

Personally, I like the 30min maps.

In a sniper map, it may take five or ten minutes to get settled.....especially if you have a good spot.

I agree. In the more competitive maps, it'll allow the better snipers to separate from the pack and have their score reflect that.

The problem is you youngins wanna turn the sniper map into a variant of the run&gun maps. Where as us old farts that have played snipers for years or have actual experience in it like to settle in and get the real feel of sniping. Undetected, stealth movement, one shot one kill, making each shot count, i see scores of 60-45 and laugh ok you sucked bad enough to get killed 45 times. I will stick with my 29-3,20-1 type scores every day of the week. I hate the fact they give 180 rounds now or whatever because people are just slapping shot after shot out there and hoping to hit something.

The above wasnt meant to be disrespectful to anyone in particular just my opinion on what a sniper map/server should be and i feel my views are echoed by quite a few members here.

Have to agree with the 30mins. We did this debate loooong ago and the concensus then was 30mins.

I'm more comfortable with a 30 minute round myself as well...sniping is about patience and waiting for your target. Not trying to rush through just to get to a map change..i have played on some converted larger maps from CODuo base assault..and those matches used to last 1 hour.

If you lot get better and get to the score then it won't need to run the full time lol

Being back to the server recently, i also prefer the 30 minutes as it helps all the newer guys/girls get a feel for the maps.

15 minutes would be too short in my opinion.

as everyone else has said so far... i believe 30mins is good... enough time to settle down and find a spot.... i also agree with Rob (salvanos) on the rounds... definately should not be 180... way to many people just go around popping rounds into any area... not really sniping... just praying to God that they hit something somewhere....
