Is there something we can do to stop having to reconnect after each round of the latest map.....the one with the Power Station and all the buildings.......

Every time the round finishes, I have to reconnect. I know we lost quite a few players tonight as they never re-appeared on the next map in the rotation.

I've also experienced this... During the map change, nothing happens or I get an error. I have to close out CoD4 and then restart. Not sure why but hope this information helps you...

someone in game told me they had the same thing and moved some folders I haven,t tried this cause I,m not sure what ones to move

I have had the same thing..but at times i am forced to restart my computer because everything freezes up on me..can't even get to my task manager to shut the game down.

I have found a work around ...if you can call it that...last 15 seconds of the game i disconnect from the server and then rejoin the server and that seems to solve the issue of my system freezes up. Its not perfect but it at least saves me from having to do hard restarts on my whole system.

happens to me too, and i took crazy`s advice and quit the game 10 seconds before the end, seems to work 90% of the time.

would be nice for a fix

I'm getting this too, sometimes I can see COD4 Error in the Windows start bar at the bottom of the screen but if you click on it there is no message offered.

I generally hit escape a couple of times when the screen freezes, seems to quit COD4 then I have to relaunch.

I'm a Windows XP user with an AMD64 processor. Is the problem confined to XP or are any of you guys Vista users?

nope..xp pro 32 bit here as well...pretty much a new install too since i had to buy a new mobo ,proc and ram after my system got zapped a few weeks ago.

Been having the same problem on Vista the last few days, I get an error message I will take a screen shot of it the next time it happens and post it here, perhaps someone can decipher it and come up with a fix.

Seemed to work ok last night. Rec. some short downloads when I came into the game and perhaps that will fix it for all.........Art

I haven't had anymore problems with being kicked off after the game, and I thought it was just because I kept getting high score and an EGG!!! lol

I had the same problem, and deleted all the maps. After reloading, all seems ok.
