it can also be the "Prnt Screen" key. You then go to another program like "Paint" or "Word" and paste the document there.

you'll have to dig into your game files ..

you'll see a file called mods..open that

look for the tob_main...the screen shots taken in tob servers will be stored there.

COD4 sorts screen shots and demos by server mod and not in one file. In my mod file i have a folder generated automatically for tob_main, UBC amongst two of the modded servers using custom maps and mods that i have downloaded.

the image below i have circled the file any screen shots and demos you record in TOB servers only are kept...if i am in UBC server there screenies go in that folder and so on.

wierd....because when i open the file i did a print screen above ..the tob_main file this is what i see.

stupid question..but your took those screenshots in a TOB server ??? or in another server...because if you download the necessary files to play on the TOB sniper server or modded servers this file is auto generated.

c, here's the prob... i have vista, and my docs aren't set up in that format... when i go under mods, all i have there is a file called "modern warfare"... thats it.

ahhhhhhhhhhh...that changes everything...i don't know much about Vista...are you looking at the file with all the right privileges ...basically you have to give yourself administrator rights to look into some files..outside this i am stumped now..because i am using windows xp pro.

i am working on grabbing a copy of vista ultimate for a dual boot to get to know it better for my Job.


can you post a screenie of your game file you see for us.

ha ha... wow... ok go to your CoD 4 file find the file MAIN click on that and than the file SCREENSHOTS... should give you all pics no matter what server... btw i have vista also

uhhh.... under main, i dont have a "screen shot" file... all i got is a video file w/ all the single player vids, and a bunch of unaccessible files

are you sure you took a pic than??? double check ur key bindings under controls... cause if you did take a pic it would create that folder and send it there.... that would also explain why you dont have tob_main under the Mods section (if you took it on the sniper server).... i dont think you took a pic... i would get on a server and play around with it a bit... the one i said is for all normal servers... the other one (under Mods) is for servers with mods (never would have guessed would u) like the sniper server....

ya seems like the dev's at IW have organized things bit different now with this then we were used to with cod and coduo. even the demos are sorted by induvidual mod files as well.

All most pulled my hair out last night figuring that out digging up demos files to verify that my post on using the backspace key as a demo record button bind.




question ThorAltair...since i am a bit on the dark side of the moon when it comes to Vista..could Vista be restricting the files he even gets to see if he hasn't set it to allow him administrator level access to those files??

could this be a reason he's not seeing the files he needs to to find the screenies??

what i mean is that under the user select thing in control panel if it does not say he is administrator than it might be preventing him

ok, all i have under appdata is roaming and ntuser.dat. my shots arent in either... and 2day i check 2 make sure i was pressing the right key, and i was. wat now?

did u double check ur bindings to make sure f12 is in fact screenshot for you... and if it is than go back to where i told you under ur CoD files and look in either the folder Main or Mods... (mods will have tob_main as a folder where the shots for the sniper server should be)

if you get to tob main and you cant see it
in vista you have to press compatibility
its in the top bar with organise, views , slide show and burn
for some reason vista hides files (dont ask i dont know why)
pressing compatibilty shows you hidden files

man, it was really weird 2day... i was downloading some songs on 2 my mp3 player 2day, and i had hit "add file 2 library", and at the bottom of "my music", there it was... "screenshots". I thought "HOLY S***! NO WAY! all it took 2 find them was downloading music?!?" so, i tried 2 open it... being a stupid computer that it is... it said the file was "irrelivant to what i was looking for". so, i wrote down where it was... and stopped trying 2 get music... i opened it up from the desk top... AND IT WAS GONE!!! im so frusterated.
