Suggestions Please

Guys,

This is not a CoD2 problem more so a general enquiry as most of you seem much more computer literate than I.

As most of you are aware I recently upgraded my machine.
Unfortunately I am finding there are some little glitches with using sharp end technology.....

I previously ran a photo editing program Paint Shop Pro X, by Corel to edit my pics. Unfortunately this program conflicts with my new dual core processor.

I have asked Corel for advice and the new nvidia driver they suggested would solve the problem I already have installed???????

The only way I can run it I have been told is to switch off one of my processors..........not an option in my book.

What I would like to know is, does anyone know of a photo editing program which will run on a dual core processor?

I'm running Paint Shop Pro X with the .03 patch, on a dual-core AMD with no problem whatsoever. I am running an ATI board instead of an nVidia though. Can you swap video cards to see if that fixes your problem?

Thanks but unfortunately I cannot change the video card.
I tried to install the .03patch but my system just froze and shut down, kept giving blue screen of death warnings so I abandoned my attempts with it.

I am running a brand new nvidia card so I thought the drivers were up to speed.

As for the type of board, I have no idea. I just get the gurus to build the things I don't know whats inside making them work......lol.

Speaking of which maybe the hamster is hungry.

Hmmm...

Could you try switching off one of your cores, installing the patch, then re-enabling the second core again?

I'm just trying to think of something logical here.

I hate to hear that you're having trouble. I like PSP X so much that I quit using photoshop altogether.
