I am somewhat of a history buff when the history is that of something I find interesting on a personal or professional basis. I know the history of the online snipe movement, having been a part of it since what I believe was its inception.
What is the history of the ToB clan? Did you come together in Call of Duty 2? If not, what game was your genesis?
Then, what does tomorrow hold? Have you thought about what happens when the current game (COD2) has become dated.
I am interested in the yesterdays because I was not present for them. I am currently enjoying the HECK out of the todays!!! I started a list of the ToB members and regulars who I have come to recognize and enjoy, and that list quickly became to large and I was certain I was leaving out people I wouldnt want left out, so I deep sixed it and and simply am enjoying the TODAY playing in your server. I am interested in the tomorrow, because looking ahead is never a bad idea. Chance favors a prepared mind, and I really enjoy your crowd. I would like to see it around as the COD2 game matures and things move on.
I second that. This has been the only time that I have spent much time on a server playing a game. I used to play AA and had trouble with the attitude of many of the players. But since finding this server I have had nothing but a very enjoyable time. I still don't get on as much as I would like, but hope to change that with my laptop when I get it and get it up and running. This is a very good group of people, no backbiting and attitudes are held to a minimum,(unless you are dogging this AF guy LOL). really I hope this keeps going with growth that is coming this way. The ToB was started on September 28, 2005 by a small group that were originally playing CODUO with The Ontario Sniper Legion...when the ToB first started we were running CODUO and when COD2 cameout we decided to switch to it...as far as what we will do when COD2 get out dated i'm not sure, but i do know that when COD4 comes out that we will be a little slower to switch as they change so much between versions and are so slow in putting out information / tools.

Thanks, David, I have always wondered myself, but were afraid to ask. I would like to add a question if I may: Why do you and Troy barely play? Did you hit a wall and got bored? Too busy maintaining the beast? I know you must play sometime, somewhere or you wouldn't maintain the level you do in the matches... INQUIRING minds want to know!

Unc Fester made a great point ... one I am sure comes from some insight gained from switching games once already. That being that when a new game comes out, switching to it is a very attractive proposition, but you lose the game play you have enjoyed up to that point b/c the mod you use will not be an option in the beginning. In order to continue the snipe game, you always need to bastardize the rules that have goverened your server to date so that they fit into what the new game allows.
You guys are getting large. And with size comes struggles as people have differing opinions on the direction a game goes.
I have seen my clan go in so many different directions that I no longer recognize it. All that said, change is the only constant we have. In my experience, when new games come out (which they do all the time), the temptation is to jump to a newer / better one. The challenge is knowing when to hold status quo and when to move on.
I was curious :)
Change your name to "O Wise Moose". These are very good points, but always remember that no matter what comes at you, you need to learn to adapt and overcome. Change is permanent and those that cannot learn to adapt to it will be left for the scavangers or become a scavenger yourself. Always look forward and be prepared to meet whatever comes at you head-on and learn from your mistakes.
Done preaching, sorry.
DANG IT ALL!!!! HAVE SOME FUN!!

I switched from Medal of Honor to Call of Duty and havent looked back.I am really quite very pleased with COD 2. When Im out and about I dont even look at any other games, just keep looking for COD 3 for PC. Once in a while I go back to single player, and sometimes go to other non sniper servers for a bit of change, but i am definitely hooked on this, and this great server.
Thanks for being here TOB.
