Guys,

Is there any way I can download the maps other than via the normal game entry.
Due to my high ping and connection rates I can't download the new maps quick enough before I time out.

I really enjoy the new maps, but some can take in excess of an hour to download.

Thanks

Brett

You can download the maps for the current map rotation at the link below...most of the time this link is the last thing that gets updated as i am usually changing the maps just before i go to work because the server is slow and i run out of time...i usually see you connecting to the server about the sametime...i have wondered what was taking you so long to download, now i know.

Thankyou both.

Yes, David I usually log on at least twice a day sometimes more, just checking who's on and monitoring the play as I am usually the only ToB on at the off peak times to the U.S.

Has been difficult of late trying to keep up with all the new map downloads.

Can you please explain how I change the file extension when I download them they are 'zip' files and I do not know how to extract them into iwd files??

Once again thanks for the assist and keeping this great site up and improving on a daily basis.

Cheers

Brett

You should be able to just right click on the file and select rename...then change the zip to iwd and hit enter...when the window pops up asking if you are sure that you want to change it click yes. Your all done...if you do not have the option to rename when you right click on the file let me know and we will work on that.

David,

When both downloaded they downloaded as 'zip' files named 47 and the other as 43.

Unfortunately when I attempt to re-name it, the only option I have is to change the actual name of the zip file. So when I try and save it into my CoD 'main' folder it still stays as a 'zip' file just with a different name?

Basically it appears as a 'zip' icon named 47.iwd

I have tried extracting the files from the zip file, but this doesn't work iether.

When I open it with win zip then try and re-name it says the file will be named 47.iwd.zip (cannot change archive extension)

Sorry to be such an illiterate computer user........any suggestions?

Thanks
Brett
