I have been getting jerky lag about every 2 to 3 mins on hardcore server. Several other people are having the same problem. Seem to have started with last 1.7 patch. I went on another server to see and did not have any jerky lag.
Not sure whats going on.

Yea I had very bad lag also, a few maps I couldn't even play, went to other servers and had no problems whats so ever, maybe server needs to be reset?

It seems it's comes and goes. I had it two or three times, also after a patch installed.

Well, I'm glad it isn't just my computer. I always get the lag on Hardcore accompanied by the popcorn sound.

I have heard there "may" be a "MEMORY LEAK" associated with PB and COD4.

I have seen a lot of posts all over (not just this clan) about jerky lag and the common thread is to STOP and RESTART the PB Services.

Basically the issue is when your PHYSICAL memory is full windows uses VIRTUAL memory, which is a file on your hard drive, so when COD4 needs to access memory it is on the hard drive so LAG happens.

This seems to have gotten better with the new PB update a couple days ago. They may have fixed there memory leak problem.

I have not noticed an improvement.

I have noticed it on other servers when somebody in the room is on Dialup and not Broadband. Could that effect it?
