Is there any hope for me?? I have others coming soon.
Honesty is the best policy- besides I can take out any frustrations on the BF....Not much of a threat huh?

How about this for an avatar? it was easier to do...still looking at those tuts tho for sigs.

Danny, it's a good start, but honestly it looks like a couple photos cut and pasted on a flag background. (The ToB logo looks great as nose art).I'm no expert, but if you look at Jos' or Kyle's sigs, they take the photorealism out of the subjects by using photofilters and such to "soften" the edges a bit. Have you looked into any tutorials? I didn't find them to necessarily teach me how to do things, but they did help me get more comfortable with the tools and how to deconstruct a finished photo to see what was done to it, and how.
I hope this helps!
Chad
Keep on going, you can become very good, the elements are there. If you look at my portfolio, it gives a pretty close to chronological order of where I started to where I am now with my sigs

Nice 1st go mate :) Keep at it, I've only just left the starting blocks myself. It's just about playing with the tools and reading a few tuts. As long as you are happy with the results and know where to improve, that's all that counts.
