Catch-22
09-08-2008, 08:09 PM
I have been playing here for quite some time now. I wish to join the clan but have noticed that many others newer than me are now new TOB members. Why is this? Did I do something? Say something someone didnt like? Dont leave me hanging here.

You joined the forum on March 17, 2008...not exactly sure of the date that you requested membership so we will use March 17, 2008...so who are the many others that you think are newer than you?

Catch-22,
I recall playing against you for some time but memebrship is listed by the date you apply. From there, we vote members in based on their gameplay, fairness, commitment to the group and knowledge of the Second Amendement of the US Constitution.
Ok..I made up that last part. The biggest THREE things you can do to increase your likelihood of gaining membership/tags is 1) Play often 2) Post in the forum so we get to know you 3) Get on Teamspeak so we really get to know you.
In some instances, the Teamspeak isn't for some people but I would suggest getting on the forums and spending some time chatting in the shoutbox.
As you may know, we are more than just a gaming clan. We're a tight knit grop of friends who happen to be scattered across the world. We don't have people drop out as that would be like leaving a family.
I look forward to continuing to play against you and look forward to knowing you better.
til then, keep your head down :)

yes ditto - what the highly-educated canoedude said.
I've played against you quite a bit... always fun. Just need to get to know you.
Also - i know the folks who recently became members have been around a bit longer and we have gotten to know them very well. Stick around and get more involved/stay involved.

I have only just noticed you on the sniper server, and you play a good game, keep it up and post more often and you never know one day you might get to wear the tags.

I would have to echo everyone's comments, and also add that its a good idea for you to know what the personalities are like in the ToB.
This is much more than a clan, and we all look after each other like a big extended family. It takes time for you to get to know us all, as well as vice versa. Get on the forums more and get on TS, whilst you are waiting.
Be patient - it will make it all the more special when it happens.

Teamspeak is the best way to get to know people, at first i was a bit held back as people were asking who i was but with time you get know their voices and personalities and it's great fun.
So get yourself on there and come and have a good time with us all.

Hey, I too have known you and went against you, you are a good solid player and we truly apprecaite you.
That said, we really don't know you, it is hard to vote someone in that you do not know, yes some that have been on the list for a shorter time have become members, they have been very active in our forumns, on Teamspeak, in the Shoutbox and in our matches.
I am sure that you would be a welcome member.. just get more active so that we can get to know who you are.
Just also wanted to point out that the norm is anywhere from 8 months to a year, be patient a while longer, continue playing our servers, and let us get to know you.
